Square B, 11 lines is the mark.
Nordic is merch. SVG is the master. PNG for raster. Outfit Light for the name, never bold.
Origin
The device is a B. Borealis — the company, the light, the north. Boron — the fuel. Inside it, an F is cut in negative space: Fusion. Two lines through the top of the B are an 11: boron-11, the isotope. Read it as ¹¹B, the mass number sitting at the upper left of the element, the way a chemist writes a nuclide.
It is also a machine. One end of a tandem mirror, in partial cross-section. The two bars of the F are the two mirror coils. The 11 is the expander. The stem of the F runs down into the chamber. Three branches leave the top: three α, the products of p–¹¹B.
That is the letterhead, the tab, the plate. One mark. It has to hold at 16px.
Nordic is not the letterhead. It is merch: a hoodie back, a cap, a plant gate. Three glyphs in a row.
Berkana — birch, becoming, the B. Growth. The company taking form.
Lásabrjótur — the lockbreaker, a stave of unlocking. Fusion as a lock that had no key. The middle glyph; the aurora as seen from above the poles.
Fehu — cattle, wealth, the F. The yield. What the reaction returns.
Beautiful at 256px. Noise at 32. A smudge at 16. Keep it off the favicon and the letterhead. Give it the back of the shirt.
Colour
Void + ice for screens. Paper + ink for print. Aurora is void with a quiet ion radial — a hint of the borealis when the field can carry more. Ion as a fill is ceremony. The mark does not need it.

Line: one line, for nav and the site header. Type is large against the B. Horizontal: two lines beside the mark. Vertical: mark above, name stacked under.
Avatars
Low resolution. 16px in a sidebar, 32px in a pill, 64px as a workspace tile. The product writes the name — upload the device only. The 11 is texture at this size; the B and the F still hold. Twelve percent pad so GitHub and Slack’s round-rects don’t clip the slots. Not Nordic. Not a lockup. Not ion, except Google if the ink B disappears in the light pill.

Don’t
- Don’t stretch the B. Don’t add a waist. Don’t outline it.
- Don’t set the name in a serif, or in bold, or in title case.
- Don’t put 14 on a favicon, a tab, or a letterhead.
- Don’t put a lockup in an avatar. The product already writes the name.
- Don’t use ion as a fill on the letterhead. One drop, not a coat.
- Don’t let the two-line name grow taller than the B.
